Building GPTs & vibe coding

In short
About this workshop- Duration: 3 hours
- Location: WUR campus
- WUR employee fee: €517,50
- Regular fee: €575,-
Are you already familiar with AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude and would you like to learn how build your own GPT? In this workshop, you will learn step by step how to design and set up a personalised AI assistant for specific tasks. You will discover the differences between platforms and get plenty of room to experiment. Finally, you will be introduced to vibe coding: creative coding without programming knowledge, using AI.
Content and approach
In this practical session, we will build our own GPT together. This is a personalised version of ChatGPT: a smart assistant that you can set up to do specific tasks. For example, developing course materials, editing texts, brainstorming, or answering questions in your field. You will learn how to design, test and refine a model. You can choose which GenAI tool you want to work with. That could be ChatGPT, but also another AI programme. We will test each other's GPTs, compare the possibilities and results of the different platforms, and discuss what works well and what could be improved.
Finally, we will briefly dive into vibe coding: working with AI in a visual environment (such as ChatGPT Canvas or React in Claude or Gemini) to create small applications or prototypes. The workshop lasts three hours.
What will be covered?
You will work on:
- Building your own GPT
Step by step, you will learn how to design, set up and test a GPT tailored to your own goals. - Comparing models and platforms
You will discover how ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude differ from each other in features, tone and usability. - Testing and improving
You will try out your GPT in different scenarios and learn how to optimise prompts and settings. - Introduction to vibe coding
You will learn how to ‘code’ with AI and build interactive applications without programming knowledge.
What is the outcome of this workshop?
After completing this workshop, you will:
- have built and tested a GPT yourself
- know how to deploy and compare different AI platforms
- have been introduced to vibe coding as a creative way to apply AI
- take away practical examples to build on.
Who is this workshop for?
For advanced users already experienced with AI tools and using a paid or pro account (such as ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude). Ideal for those who want to build, experiment and innovate with AI themselves.
If you completed our Basic Generative AI Skills workshop, you have sufficient prior knowledge to participate. Did you gain experience with GenAI elsewhere and are you unsure whether this workshop fits your current level? Please contact us, and we will gladly advise you.

Registration
Prefer to work on building GPTs individually or with your team?
Please contact our Tailor-made Department to discuss your needs. During an intake interview, we will determine what is desirable and feasible and we will discuss the approach and design of our offer, from a coaching programme to a short workshop or multi-day course.
You can take a tailor-made course in a small group with your team or department, but also one-on-one. Courses take place at our premises or in-company. In some cases, some or all of the course can also take place online. After the intake interview, you will receive an offer with a tailor-made programme.
