Soils for climate

Hundreds of soil scientists from across the world will gather in Wageningen the coming week to examine the role soil can play in climate and food issues. These are processes that are crucial for food production and biodiversity. An international panel of soil experts recently published a report on the relationship between climate change and soil. Good soil management is crucial and contributes to CO2 storage and thus to mitigating climate change. Together with colleagues and farmers, Wageningen researchers unravel how this works and thereby contribute to the quality of life.
