Peter Oosterveer publishes about unintended consequences of voluntary certification in palm oil
ENP colleague Peter Oosterveer published his recent article in Global Food Security, entitled 'Global sustainability standards and food security: exploring unintended effects of voluntary certification in palm oil'.
Voluntary labelling and certification gain significant interest in global agro-food chains. Their main aim is to increase sustainability. However, they also bring along unintended consequences which should be taken into consideration in ensuring global food security. This is illustrated in this article for global palm oil.
