Podcast INFORMS Analytics conference in Orlando
Frans de Ruiter, part-time researcher at the operations research and logistics group and part-time working for the analytics company CQM, was recently a finalist for the prestiguous INFORMS Franz Edelman award for a project with Transvision. This was for a project optimizing mobility for 200,000 elderly and disabled citizens in the Netherlands. They realized a practical implementation of operations research techniques that improved the service and saved 100,000 driving kilometers per day.
