WUR ranks number 64 in the THE World University Ranking
Wageningen University & Research has dropped from the 59th to the 64th spot on the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings. A total of 1904 universities were included in the ranking this year, up 5.5 per cent from last year.
The Netherlands is represented in the top 100 by Delft University (48), the University of Amsterdam (61), Leiden University (77), Groningen University (79) and Erasmus University Rotterdam (99).
The Times Higher Education World Universities Ranking is an authoritative ranking with over 1900 universities on all continents. The changed ranking method has influenced the position of universities this year. The original method was simple and based on just five performance indicators. The new THE WUR 3.0 methodology, which was introduced this year, has eighteen performance indicators distributed over five pillars.
