My name is Akanksha Srivastava. I am working as a postdoc in the group of Dr. Emilie Wientjes. I received my PhD in March 2023 from the Department of Botany, Banaras Hindu University, India under the supervision of Dr. Yogesh Mishra. During my PhD research, I investigated how the transcription regulator LexA regulates the photosynthetic and proteomic responses of the cyanobacterium Anabaena sp. PCC 7120 to regulate its tolerance to cadmium and gamma radiation. In my postdoctoral work, I am investigating how charged amino acids on light harvesting complexes II (LHCII) affect state transition and grana organization in Arabidopsis thaliana.
