Projects - DCB (Damian) Boer MSc

PhD research project related to the growth of potato roots in salty environments.
Examples of some of the tasks involved:
- Phenotyping variation in root growth in salty environments using a plethora of potato cultivars and lines
- Molecular characterization pathways that seem important in salt tolerant root growth in potato
- Creation of genetic markers of root growth for breeding
The project fits within the larger research project named "Getting to the roots of stress resilience of potato plants" (NWO: TTP - H.I.P. Project).

GeneSprout Initiative | Project set up to improve communication regarding genetic editing within plant sciences, and to stimulate and engage students and society with dialogues and policy regarding genetic editing techniques.
