I earned my bachelor's degree in Agricultural Sciences at the University of Milan (2020), where I developed a keen interest in crop techniques, agronomy and disease management. During my master's in Plant Sciences at Wageningen University (2023), and also thanks to my thesis at the Phytopathology Laboratory, I deepened my interest in phytopathology, along with related fields such as biological control and soil suppressiveness.

Currently, I am happy to have the opportunity to combine my passion for the field with my fascination for plant-microbe interactions during my PhD. In my research, I am investigating how crop diversity affects the risk of soil-borne disease outbreaks and soil functional biodiversity. My PhD is part of the five-year research programme CropMix (https://cropmix.nl/en/), which aims to increase crop diversity through strip cropping. Our goal is to bring together arable farmers, researchers, and chain partners to facilitate a transition toward more ecology based agriculture.
