Stabilization of the agricultural frontier in Colombian post-conflict areas
The project will contribute to the stabilization of the Colombian agricultural frontier in postwar areas.
The project aims at contributing to the stabilization of the agricultural frontier by supporting agroecological intensification, sustainable forest management, and landscape restoration. It does so through a common territorial vision supported by the generation of knowledge, dialogue, effective governance, and innovative tools.
The project will rely on a variety of methods, such as serious games, characterization of the dynamics of the forest and the criteria for restoration and sustainable forest management or scenario building.
The project is expected to:
- strengthen the governance in the study areas and the sustainable multiple use of the landscape;
- enable an evaluation of the performance of land uses and value chains at the landscape level; and
- designing sustainable territories.
