Annemiek ter Heijne is Chair of Environmental Technology. Her research focuses on Microbial Electrochemical Technologies, in which microorganism interact with electrodes. These Microbial Electrochemical Technologies can be used to recover valuable resources, like nutrients, metals and energy, from wastewater.
