Strategically placed within Wageningen University & Research, the Business Economics Group (BEC) performs research and teaches across a wide range of aspects of agricultural business economics and food supply chains.

The chair group Business Economics carries out fundamental and applied research focusing on economic and management problems within the food chain. Research is categorized in the following research themes:
Education
The Business Economics group is composed of a professional team with a wide range of specializations. Students receive solid training in business economics providing them with the knowledge to address research questions in the area of the economics of farms and agribusinesses, animal health, plant health, food safety and sustainable agriculture. We encourage students to develop their own interests and to think critically.
