  • Get an overview of current and future trends in the agriculture and food domain
  • Expand your knowledge and learn about new technologies and innovations. We will explore the entire value chain, from the environment to agriculture production, food processing, design, human nutrition, and health.
  • Experience how to solve challenges from diverse perspectives together with multidiscipline team members
  • Get an insight on how education is organized within WUR

Is this Summer School for you?

This programme is designed for professionals and future professionals such as bachelor and master students. It provides insights into the agricultural and food domain, focusing on the livestock sector. At least a BSc level of English is required.

Programme & topics

The programme will be delivered online. Courses will cover cutting-edge technologies and new trends such as animal production systems, circular agriculture, agriculture food and nutrition. Academic lectures will also be provided.

The programme will last two weeks. It will include ten online courses or lectures. This adds up to 20 teaching hours. Additionally, there will be over 10 hours of group study.

All courses, lectures and assignments will be conducted through Brightspace, the online learning platform of WUR. A glimpse of the topics that will be discussed about global challenges, trends, technology transfer and innovation:
