Coordinated action to promote health

Coordinated action in health promotion

Health and Society is engaged in projects to facilitate and evaluate coordinated action in programs to promote health.

Coordinated action, like intersectoral collaboration and community participation, is important for the success of community programs to promote health. In many programs, coordinated action is not measured and evaluated. As a result, the effectiveness of community based projects is not completely estimated.

In close collaboration with several organisations in the Netherlands, Health and Society is engaged in research to develop methods and tools to facilitate and evaluate coordinated action to promote health. At the moment Health and Society collaborates with four municipal health authorities and with NISB (Netherlands Institute for Sport and Physical Activity) in different projects.
