Optimal reduced-order control and stabilization of spray booms

An accurate description of spray boom vibration requires a state-space model with many state variables. Therefore recently developed algorithms for digital optimal reduced-order control are highly appropriate for optimal spray boom control and stabilization. This research aims at designing such controllers and evaluating their performance improvement compared to conventional controllers.
