As a Senior Project Controller, in addition to the tasks you perform as a regular Front Office Project Controller, you will act as a direct sparring partner for the Project Control team leader. In coordination with the Project Control team leader, you ensure proper control and risk management of the projects. You also contribute to the implementation of internal control measures, play an active role in year-end activities, and coordinate with the auditor and/or third parties.
Additional tasks:
- You coordinate and supervise (subsidised) projects and manage their financial administration.
- You provide solicited and unsolicited advice.
- You support the implementation of new projects.
- You manage and monitor projects that span multiple science groups.
- You act as the point of contact for the business unit controller and project leaders, and maintain good relationships with external project partners and other stakeholders.
- You identify financial risks in a timely manner and take action where necessary.
- You close each financial period with a complete and reliable financial statement and make an important contribution to the balance file and annual accounts.
- You ensure the reliability of financial information and compliance with relevant laws and regulations, policy guidelines, and procedures.
For part of our research projects, we receive funding. As the requirements of funders and grant providers continue to change and tighten, it is important that you maintain up-to-date knowledge in this area and assess the project portfolio accordingly.
