Meet & Greet and Guest Lecture on theme Food, Nutrition and Health - Jakarta, Indonesia

During this lecture, Prof. Feskens will elaborate on the theme of Food, Nutrition and Health, highlighting current scientific insights, global challenges, and opportunities for Indonesia and the wider region. Prof. Feskens would also be pleased to introduce the Gerrit Grijns initiative. Prof. Gerrit Grijns, co-discoverer of vitamin B1 and founding father of modern nutritional science, had his roots in Indonesia. Through his discoveries, Gerrit Grijns tranformed the lives of many millions of people. Thanks to his perseverance and out of the box thinking, he became a pioneer in nutritional science.

In addition to Prof. Feskens, expert speakers will contribute perspectives from academia and industry. One of the speakers will be Felicia Kartawidjajaputra, Manager of Health & Nutrition Science at Nutrifood.

This event is organised by University Fund Wageningen (UFW) and aims to bring together WUR alumni, partners from the business community, and professionals in the field, fostering meaningful exchange and new connections. The Gerrit Grijns Fund will serve as a guiding thread throughout the programme as we explore collaboration and innovation in food, nutrition and health.
