Bitterbal Dialogue: (y)our vision on WUR restaurants

While some might be concerned about the affordability of their lunch, others emphasize their need for a more diverse or fully vegan offer at the restaurants, including guilty pleasures such as fatty snacks. Can all these different views and wishes co-exist? Let's recognize the diversity of our views and explore diverse voices during this unique Bitterbal Dialogue.

We invite students and employees on Wageningen Campus to jointly reflect on the status and future of the WUR restaurants. Let's talk about this, while we enjoy a variety of bitterballen in the context of 'Nationale Bitterballendag' that takes place around this time. All kinds of typical Dutch bitterballen will be provided.

Whether you're on a budget, on a certain diet, a meat lover, vegan or flexitarian; we aim to bring together a diverse mix of those who visit and work at the WUR restaurants. By listening to each other, we can strengthen and inspire each other in envisioning the restaurant of the future: (How) can we all enjoy the WUR restaurants with our different food-visions?

Everyone thinks differently and has different priorities. During this dialogue, we'll explore many different questions together. But not the answers are of main concern; we will unravel the thought patterns behind them. Can different views go hand in hand or do some perspectives continue to work against each other?

About Dialogue

Exploring different perspectives for better understanding is a core goal of Wageningen Dialogues. But some topics are mainly debated ‘underground’ or among likeminded people. We aim to identify the diversity of views and create a space to explore diverse voices in a safe space, with room for doubt, wonder and exploration. If you’re curious about dialogue, visit the website and take part in one of the planned dialogues.
