A (Alessio) Belmondo Bianchi Di Lavagna, MSc

Alessio Belmondo Bianchi was born on December 1, 1993. He received the M.Sc. degree in Biosystems Engineeringn with a specialization in Environmental Technology from Wageningen University & Research, Wageningen, The Netherlands, in 2020, and has since been pursuing a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering at the Department of Environmental Technology at the same university. His research interests include hydraulic engineering, water and wastewater treatment and reuse, power and energy systems, renewable energy, energy economis, applied mathematics, optimization theory, and artificial intelligence, with a particular focus on modelling and optimizing power and water networks and other critical urban infrastructure. He has contributed to national research programmes such as WaterNexus and AquaConnect, developing decision-support and optimization frameworks for planning and operating water and electricity systems to improve their efficiency and resilience.
