A (Aslihan) Ural-Janssen, MSc
Biografie
I obtained a BSc in Environmental Engineering (2009), followed by two MSc degrees: one in Environmental Biotechnology (2012) and another in Earth and Environment (Wageningen University & Research, 2014). Then, I worked at the Republic of Turkiye Ministry of Forestry and Agriculture (2015-2020). After that, I got my PhD as a double-degree at Wageningen University & Research and Ghent University in 2026. My PhD focuses on integrated modeling of nutrient emissions to air and surface waters in Europe, and synergistic solutions to reduce these emissions in the future. Currently, I work at the Earth Systems and Global Change Group. I aim to advance the understanding of how human activities alter the quality of air and water and to support decision-making for effective solutions for sustainable nutrient management through environmental modelling and scenario analysis. As a researcher, my ambition is to contribute to actionable knowledge to address challenges in reducing air and water pollution and to inspire conscious generations.
