BS (Brenda) Namugumya, PhD

Brenda Shenute Namugumya completed a Masters degree in Applied Human Nutrition and a BSC in Food Science and Technology from Makerere University, Uganda. Brenda Shenute is a 2016 Alumni of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders Initiation (YALI). She has over four years’ professional experience in nutrition policy implementation across health, agriculture, social development, and planning sectors in Uganda. Her interests are in multisectoral food and nutrition systems, policy and governance approaches, capacity development, and multistakeholder processes.    

Her research focuses on using public policy and governance theories in understanding multisectoral nutrition policies in the Uganda context.
