C (Caterina) Ossio Tord

Hi! I am a Peruvian interdisciplinary researcher that uses her background in environmental, political and social sciences in socio-environmental contexts. My research experience has been mostly related to biodiversity and sustainable landscapes, particularly in Latin America.

My PhD project seeks to understand the past, current and future relationships of people and nature in socio-ecological systems in rural Mexico. Particularly, these relationships will be mapped with the ecosystem (dis)services framework and will be analyzed with a transdisciplinary approach: combining ecological data with knowledge shared by local people. This project will build on the work of the PANTROP project (https://pantrop-eu.com/).
