My research focuses on the application of biological activated carbon (BAC) filters for removing micropollutants from wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) effluent. The primary objective is to investigate the interdependent mechanisms of biodegradation and sorption within BAC filters, aiming to enhance the effectiveness of micropollutant removal in quaternary wastewater treatment.
