CR (Ciska) Ulug

Ciska is a postdoctoral researcher in the Health and Society group at Wageningen University. She has an interdisciplinary social science background rooted in planning, sociology, and anthropology. Her research broadly revolves around how communities and citizens contribute to more sustainable, healthy, and just societies, which she explores ethnographic, participatory, and creative methods. Specific research interests include citizen initiatives, food sustainability, and urban (food) commons.

In her current position in the HANS project (Health in All Networks Simulator), Ciska is conducting community-based research to help understand how social networks inform community actions to improve the diets, health, and resiliency of Amsterdam residents.
