dr. AW (Anna) Herforth

Anna Herforth leads the Global Diet Quality Project, which generated the first replicable global survey data resulting in an indicator of diets in the SDGs. She also developed the Cost and Affordability of a Healthy Diet indicator annually reported by FAO and the World Bank. She co-founded the Agriculture-Nutrition Community of Practice (Ag2Nut) in 2010, which established a consensus on principles for nutrition-sensitive agriculture and now remains an active group with members from 130 countries. Dr. Herforth is a Visiting Associate Professor at Wageningen University & Research, where she is developing a World Food Map of edible biodiversity.
