Biografie
I am a legal researcher on the topic of agricultural data governance. I completed my Ph.D. research at Tilburg University Law School.
My Ph.D. thesis examines the data-related challenges in the emerging Digital Agriculture sector from the perspective of competition law and policy. This inquiry inherently touches upon the interplay between traditional competition law enforcement, data protection rules, voluntary rule-making, the recent Data Act, and the possibility of a sectoral regulatory intervention. In my project, I analyze how existing market failures (deriving from ambiguities on who has what rights on which agricultural data) can be addressed more effectively for the sake of sustainable and cost-efficient agricultural production for a growing population.
Beyond the legal side of the story, I am also very enthusiastic to learn more about all aspects of the data revolution in the agriculture sector.
