I'm a multidisciplinary research scientist working across climate, water, food systems, and ecosystems. My research tackles three questions: how the climate is changing and what signals reveal that change; what real impacts it has on food production, water resources, and ecosystem health; and how effective adaptation strategies and nature-based solutions are at reducing climate risk.

I combine geospatial data, big data analytics, and machine/deep learning to build models that quantify crop growth, hydrology, and ecosystem services—turning complex environmental data into actionable insight for resilient food systems, sustainable watersheds, and thriving ecosystems.

My current projects span the Netherlands, South America, and across Africa, developing region-specific solutions for climate adaptation and sustainable development in various socio-ecological contexts.

I hold a PhD in Environmental Systems Analysis from Wageningen University (2017) and an MSc in GIS & Environmental Modeling from the University of Hull, UK (2010).
