dr. EM (Emma) Turkenburg

dr. Emma Turkenburg (assistant professor, Strategic Communication Group) obtained her PhD at KU Leuven in 2023 (LEGIT Research Group, Centre for Political Science Research).
She is interested in both the content, perceptions, and effects of controversial (political)  communication. Key concepts of her work include reasoning, legitimacy, and polarization, and she employs a variety of methods, including content analyses and experiments.
