dr. HM (Hilde) Toonen

Hilde is Associate Professor at the Environmental Policy group. She is coordinating the Aquaculture Governance project, carried out in collaboration with the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Global Ocean Conservation team, and involved in various nationaly and internationally funded research projects . She has worked as a post-doc researcher in the NWO funded Smart governance programme, specifically on the project "Assessing capacities and performances". Hilde obtained her PhD degree from Wageningen University in December 2013, and was trained in Anthropology (MSc, University of Amsterdam) and Environmental Sciences (BSc, Utrecht University).
