dr. MJ (Maciej) Soja

Dr. Maciej J. Soja has over 10 years of experience working with SAR-based mapping and monitoring of forests. Since 2009, he is involved in the development of the ESA BIOMASS mission, with a particular focus on the development of a global AGB mapping algorithm. He also has substantial experience with TanDEM-X and Sentinel-1 data, both for measurements of forest properties such as height and AGB and for monitoring of forest change. He has been involved in many international projects, including the GlobBIOMASS project from ESA and the Advanced SAR project from EU.
