I am an experienced microbiologist with about two decades of expertise in microbial culturing and ecophysiology. I have discovered >38 novel taxa of prokaryotes from diverse environments. My passion lies in unlocking the potential of uncultivated microbes, and I am driven by the excitement of cultivating new life forms that can significantly contribute to industrial innovations and environmental sustainability. Currently, my research focuses on marine sponges and the associated microbes, particularly those with promising biotechnological applications.
