As junior researcher at Wageningen Marine Research (Den Helder), my work focuses on applied ecological marine research in different areas of the Netherlands. I focus mainly on research related to shorebirds in the Delta area in the southwest of the Netherlands, seabirds in the Northsea and piscivore fish in IJsselmeer and Markermeer. These include projects on the analysis on birds counts at low tide before and after sand nourishments or other ecological restoration projects (Roggenplaat, Baalhoek & Knuitershoek, Perkpolder). However, I also work on more general ecological projects in these areas and the Wadden Sea.
