I am a quantitative ecologist with a focus on spatial and temporal patterning in ecological phenomena. Specifically, I seek to understand the mechanisms behind the small-scale movements of organisms, and how these scale up to their emergent outcomes at the population-level: the distribution and abundance of populations. To this end, I use statistical and mathematical tools in conjunction with ecological theory to study empirical data.
