dr.ir. MG (Maartje) Bulkens

Dr. ir. Maartje Bulkens is a full-time lecturer at the Consumption and Healthy Lifestyles group. Her main teaching activities are in the BCC and MME programme with a focus on consumption sociology, e.g. the first year BBC course Sociology of Business and Consumption. Also she supervises students writing their BSc and MSc theses. Next to this she is member of the Examining Board Social Sciences.

She obtained her BSc and MSc degrees in Landscape, Planning and Design and Leisure, Tourism and Environment at Wageningen University. After which she graduated for her doctoral degree at the Cultural Geography group at Wageningen University.
