Biografie

Biografie

I am a postdoctoral researcher in Hydrogeology at Wageningen University & Research (WUR), working within the Hydrology and Environmental Hydraulics Group in the Netherlands. My research focuses on advanced numerical modeling of groundwater flow and solute transport in complex geological settings. Using finite element modeling techniques, I investigate groundwater–contaminant interactions, design and optimise dewatering systems, develop effective groundwater management strategies, and assess environmental risks associated with acid mine drainage and subsurface contamination.

I hold a PhD in Hydrogeology from Shahid Beheshti University (SBU), where I graduated with the highest distinction. My doctoral research combined hydrogeochemical and isotopic methods to identify the sources of dissolved gases in shallow aquifers. I also earned my MSc and BSc degrees from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM), graduating as the top-ranked hydrogeology student, with a focus on numerical groundwater modeling.

Beyond academia, I have contributed to international consultancy projects, providing technical expertise in groundwater modeling, data analysis, and hydrogeological assessment. I also gained valuable laboratory and analytical experience at the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) in Italy, focusing on the chemical and isotopic analysis of natural waters and gases.

My research aims to integrate numerical modeling, field observations, and hydrogeochemical insights to support sustainable groundwater management and evidence-based environmental decision-making.
