ing. WAC (Wendy) Evers

Wendy Evers is lab technician in the bioprocess engineering group since May 2010. She holds a BSc in Biology and Medical Laboratory research from Avans University. At Avans University she did her first internship at Organon BioSciences (now Merck Sharp & Dohme) at the Pharmaceuticals department and her second internship at Nickerson-Zwaan (a plant seed company) at the Research department. Before joining the bioprocess engineering group she worked as analyst at Lead Pharma  Holding, working on protein isolation and purification, for development of new medicine against chronic heart failure. As lab technician at Wageningen University she is developing and improving methods for analysing the cell composition of micro-algae, guiding (PhD)-students with their practical work and actively involved in developing, and teaching course practicals of animal cell culture, biorefinery and marine biotechnology.
