ir. PGP (Paul) Geurts Ramos

I'm a connector and strategic thinker, with extensive experience in setting up international collaborations and partnerships in research and higher education between the Netherlands and the USA, Canada, China, Brazil, and several European countries.

As Manager of Strategic International Collaborations at the Plant Sciences Group (PSG) of Wageningen University & Research (WUR), I build and manage international partnerships in the field of sustainable food production, with a focus on food & nutrition security in Low & Middle Income Countries.

Before working at PSG, I was WUR’s International Liaison Officer for the USA and Canada for 12 years, and a co-initiator and Steering Committee Member of the Agrifood 5 Alliance (A5).
A5 is the academic alliance between Wageningen University, Cornell University CALS, UC Davis CAES, University of São Paulo ESALQ, and China Agricultural University.

Prior to that, I was a Senior Advisor for International Policies at WUR, contributing to the internationalization strategy of Wageningen UR. I was involved in setting up several international partnerships and joint research- and PhD programs.

I got my MSc degree in Forestry from Wageningen University in 1996, with a specialization in Agricultural Knowledge & Innovation Systems (AKIS).
