K (Karlis) Lakševics

I'm an anthropologist and a learning facilitator working on projects of social and infrastructural change. My PhD thesis focuses on the political ecology of the Baltic Rennovation Wave where residential buildings are brought to the centre of issues of climate justice. My other research has covered the political economy of urban inequality, interconnections between militarism and environmental management, spatialization of gendered violence prevention, and digitalization of care services for the elderly. My teaching covers social theory, research design, urban ethnography, development anthropology, and political ecology.
