Biografie
I am an agroecologist and I place my research within the concept of ecological intensification, which strives to support natural ecosystem services and biodiversity in arable lands to make agro-ecosystems more sustainable and nature positive.
My current research aims to assess the impacts of nature-based solutions and sustainable farming practices on soil health and biodiversity, as well as ecosystem services (eg pest control, pollination, soil fertility, crop yield). I use a variety of methods, from field and greenhouse experiments to meta-analyses and statistical modeling to evaluate management practices impacts at multiple spatial scales, from field to landscape.
My research interests include:
Above- and belowground interactions (eg soil microbes - pest control, - pollination)
Landscape and local scale management impacts on biodiversity and ecosystem services (eg pest control, pollution, crop yield)
Arthropod-plant interactions
Traits as drivers of ecosystem functions
Sustainable crop production
