R (Ryoko) Machida
Biografie
I’m a researcher with a strong background in developing and coordinating international collaborative research in agriculture. I’ve previously worked at the OECD Secretariat, focusing on environmental safety and food and feed safety.
My professional background includes:
-Germplasm management in genebanks
-Access and benefit-sharing (ABS) of genetic resources
Recently, I’ve taken on a new role as Liaison Scientist at the NARO Europe Office, based at Wageningen University & Research in the Netherlands. In this position, I’m working to build bridges between NARO (Japan) and European research institutions—supporting joint research, policy dialogue, and scientific exchange.
I’m passionate about contributing to the achievement of sustainable agriculture, where I can apply my experience in international research collaboration, policy negotiation, and research administration.
