SC (Sophie) Zwick

Sophie Zwick is a PhD candidate in the Public Administration and Policy Group (PAP) at Wageningen University. Her research focus is on Urban Water Scarcity and Day Zero events in six select cities. She will explore the relationship between risk perceptions of water crises and policy outcomes. She will engage with urban stakeholders such as water users, private sector actors, utilities and municipalities to understand how different views on water scarcity and proposed solutions.

Sophie has graduated with an MPhil in Water Science, Policy and Management from the University of Oxford. She has a background in researching Flood Early Warning Systems and international development partnerships to set-up and maintain these systems. Her methods include systems mapping, interview-based research and comparative policy analysis. She holds a BA in Politics and International Relations from SOAS, University of London.
