Y (Yanning) Qiu

I am an Assistant Professor in Water Quality and Data Science at the Aquatic Ecology and Water Quality Management Group, Wageningen University & Research (WUR). My current research focuses on the risk assessment of microplastics on human health and the environment.

I am particularly interested in integrating artificial intelligence into scientific research, including the use of large language models (LLMs) and computer vision (CV) to advance literature synthesis, structured data extraction, and environmental monitoring.
