Z (Zicheng) Wang, MSc

Hello everyone, I am ZichengWang, a phD candidate of Wageningen University – Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) joint programme. I am delighted to be a member of the Biosystematic Group. I come from China, specifically from Changchun City, a city in the northeast of China with distinct four seasons, and it is close to Russia and North Korea. Apart from being a bit colder in winter compared to Wageningen, the climate is similar at other times of the year.I don't have particularly specific hobbies; I enjoy basketball, online games, and more. One unique interest of mine is raising ladybugs and observing them. I find them incredibly adorable and intelligent. My doctoral research focuses on the evolutionary aspects of hybrid incompatibility in rice, with the title "Identification and genetic history of incompatibility loci in rice." I am excited to share some thoughts about my research with everyone in the future.
