Recognizing the critical role of urban environments in shaping public health outcomes, Dr. ir. Patuano’s work integrates interdisciplinary perspectives from Landscape Architecture and Environmental Psychology to provide spatial recommendations likely to influence human behaviour. She bridges research and practice by developping new methodologies based on a research through design approach to investigate interventions aimed at optimizing both human and non-human health. Her goal is to advance knowledge and practice in Landscape Architecture to support the creation of effective health-promoting urban environments.
