Suresh Neethirajan is an Associate Professor in the Adaptation Physiology Group of the Animal Sciences Department at Wageningen University & Research. Harnessing the biological engineering expertise, Suresh's specialization is in bioinstrumentation, biosensors, molecular diagnostics, wireless sensors for applications to enhance animal health, animal welfare and food safety. His research focus is multi-disciplinary and currently concerns the usage of sensors and deployment of sensing tools and collecting sensor-based data for better understanding the livestock's resilience, physiological, behavioral, and mental functions.

Suresh obtained his PhD cum laude at the University of Manitoba, Canada. From 2009 to 2011, he was a Research Associate at the National Food Research Institute of Tsukuba, Japan and at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory of USA. From 2011 to 2018, Suresh was an Associate Professor in the Biological Engineering program of the University of Guelph, Canada.
