All Dutch applicants pay the tuition fee via studielink. As of May 1, a new task will appear in your ‘To Do’ list. Here you can choose how you would like to pay.
The payment deadline is August 31. Please be aware that without payment, you will not be enrolled, and without enrolment you cannot register for courses or use your WUR-account.
There are a few methods of paying the tuition fee. We strongly advise you to choose for payment via digital authorisation, because of the following benefits:
For more information about the tuition fee, please also see this page.
You have been admitted to one of our Bachelor programmes. Your admission was based on the documents you have uploaded in the application portal. To officially enrol you we require certified documents of your pre-education in hard copy. If they are not in Dutch, English, French or German we need to receive a certified translation in English from your school (with a stamp and signature) or from a sworn translator.
The following certified copies* must be sent to Wageningen University & Research:
Note: A certified statement of graduation is also accepted if you have graduated but have not obtained your official diploma yet.
We will however require to see the original diploma when you have obtained it.
Deadlines for supplying these documents:
You can send these documents to:
Wageningen University & Research
Student Service Centre
6708 PB Wageningen
*What is a certified copy?
A certified copy is a duplicate of the original document which is (after making a hard copy) affixed with an original stamp/seal and signature by the issuing institution. Just a regular photo-copy of a certified copy with no original stamp/signature is not certified and will NOT be accepted. Certification of a document can be done by the institution you gained the degree from or by an authorised person like a solicitor or notary.
If you applied in studielink using DigiD, your ID is automatically verified. You don’t need to take any action.
If you have not used DigiD to log in, then your identity has to be verified by Wageningen University & Research. In order to make that possible for us, you should upload a copy of your passport or European ID card via the application portal. This is the same portal you used for uploading your diploma and transcript in order to gain admission to the programme.
In the Netherlands, a study choice check (questionnaire) is obligatory for future Dutch and international bachelor's students.
Wageningen University & Research has a large community of students. Finding a room in Wageningen or the surrounding area is not always easy. Most students in Wageningen rent a room through Idealis, but you can also choose to search for a room yourself through other channels.
If you live further away than 130 km from Wageningen, you can get priority at Idealis. For a room at Idealis, you can register at ROOM.nl. You can already do this when you turn 16. On this page you will find more tips about finding a room.
The best start to your studies is to participate in the Annual Introduction Days (AID). Every year, around 95% of all new students participate in the AID.
In the AID you will be placed in a group of 10 students and you will be guided by two mentors (the AID 'moms and dads'). They will take you all around Wageningen. Lots of groups stay in contact after the AID! During the AID, you will get to know the University, your fellow students, all the student organisations, student fellowships, the city and all that Wageningen has to offer. During the AID there are many activities for you to quickly feel at home in Wageningen. This year the AID will take place from 14 to 19 August 2020.
Get inspired by the after movie of AID 2019!
