Dutch students

On this page you can find information regarding enrolment to the programme, after you have been admitted to Wageningen University. Please follow the steps in order to complete your enrolment and to start your study in Wageningen.

Om de informatie in het Nederlands te lezen, ga naar deze site.

1. Payment of the fees

All Dutch students indicate their method of payment viaStudielink. As of 1 May, a new task will appear in your ‘To Do’ list. Here you can choose for your digital authorisation.

The payment deadline is 31 August, however, we strongly advise you conform your payment earlier. As soon as you have confirmed the digital authorization, we consider your payment done. As soon as you meet all other enrolment criteria, you will be enrolled and your WUR account will become available (as of 1 July).

By conforming your digital authorisation, you give Wageningen University & Research permission to collect the tuition fees from your bank account. In that case, you have met the payment obligation immediately, despite the fact that the amount is not debited until 27 September. Therefore, do this as soon as possible, but no later than 31 August!

If you choose to pay in multiple instalments an administration fee of € 24,- applies. The administration fee will be deducted together with the first instalment.

If you withdraw your (request for) enrollment at Wageningen University & Research before 1 September, the digital authorisation will be cancelled.

Also an official Proof of Payment of Tuition Fees (BBC) can be made long before your money actually will be deducted from your bank account.

Exemption of payment of tuition fees with ‘Proof of Payment of Tuition fees’ from other Dutch university or hbo.

If, for the same academic year, you are enrolled as a student at another Dutch Institution for Higher Education (university or hbo) for a CROHO registered study programme and you are entitled to pay the statutory tuition fee, you may be exempted from paying tuition fees when enrolling as a student at Wageningen University for a second study programme. To get exemption:

a) You must be entitled to the Dutch statutory tuition fee, and

b) You will have to submit an original ‘Proof of Payment of Tuition Fees’ (BBC) from the other institution where you are registered as a student, showing that you have paid the statutory tuition fee.

If you are not entitled to the statutory tuition fee at Wageningen University, you will not be eligible for exemption of tuition fees and you will have to pay the full institutional tuition fee for your second enrolment at Wageningen University.

Please contact ssc@wur.nl if you want to submit a Proof of Payment of Tuition fees’ from other Dutch university or hbo.

For more information about the tuition fee, please also see this page.

2. Documents for enrollment

Your (conditional) admission was based on the documents you have uploaded in the application portal (Osiris). These uploads are not sufficient for the enrollment.

For the actual enrollment we require the certified documents* as mentioned in your result letter. If your documents are not in Dutch, English, French or German, we also need to receive a certified English translation from your school (with an original stamp and signature) or from a sworn translator.

*What is a certified copy?

A certified copy is a duplicate of the original document which is (after making a hard copy) affixed with an original stamp/seal and signature by the issuing institution. Just a regular photo-copy of a certified copy with no original stamp/signature is not certified and will NOT be accepted. Certification of a document can be done by the institution you gained the degree from or by an authorized person like a solicitor or notary.

Please read and check your personal result letter thoroughly for your admission requirements and the documents we require for the enrollment.**

Deadline for supplying the documents:

> August 31st (your graduation date can therefore not be after August 31st)

You can send all required certified hard copies to:

Wageningen University

Student Service Centre

Admissions Office

Droevendaalsesteeg 2

6708 PB Wageningen

The Netherlands

**A certified statement of graduation is also accepted if you have graduated but have not obtained your official diploma certificate yet. We will however require to see the original diploma certificate when you have obtained it.

3. Matching

In the Netherlands, a study choice check also called Matching (online questionnaire) is obligatory for all future bachelor’s students.

4. Housing

Wageningen University has a large community of students. Finding a room in Wageningen or the surrounding area is not always easy. Most students in Wageningen rent a room through Idealis (the main student housing cooperation in Wageningen), but you can also choose to search for a room yourself through other channels.

As a prospective student at Wageningen University you can register and apply for room at Idealis via ROOM.nl. You can get priority at Idealis if you live further away than 130 km from Wageningen. On this page you will find more tips about finding a room.

Note: it is very important that you pay your tuition fee at Wageningen University on time. Only after you paid your tuition fee, you can apply for a room with priority based on your home address.
