Study choice

Experience it yourself

Are you coming from hbo and unsure whether a university degree is right for you? By experiencing it yourself, you can discover whether the switch is right for you. During an open day or taster day at Wageningen University & Research (WUR), you can attend lectures, talk to students and see how much independence and depth is expected of you. You will not only see what you are going studying, but above all how you will learn to think and work.

Tip
Do you already know what you want to study? Check the admission requirements below and apply!
Good to know - admission requirements

With a HAVO (Dutch senior general secondary education) background, you can progress to a bachelor's programme at WUR. To do so, you must demonstrate that you have the subject knowledge at VWO (pre-university education) end-level required for your chosen programme (see the table below).

Depending on the bachelor's programme you choose, you will need one or more VWO pre-university certificates from an accepted institution. In addition, you must meet the language requirements.

Have you taken courses during your HBO propaedeutic year that correspond to the required VWO subjects? If so, those courses, together with your completed HAVO examination subjects, may provide sufficient evidence that you possess the required knowledge at VWO pre-university level. We assess individually whether you still need an additional VWO pre-university certificate for specific subjects.

Would you like to know whether this applies to your situation? First register through Studielink and then complete your application using the personal link you receive for the application portal. Once this process is complete, we will assess your application.

  • Visit the application page for information about important deadlines and the application process, so you do not miss anything.
