Student Career Services

Student Career Services Wageningen University & Research is part of the corporate staff department Education and Student Affairs and provides a platform for students and organisations. Our goal is to prepare the students for the transition from education towards the labour market to the max, and to give employers an entrance to find the best employees for their business. We are experienced in the human resources field and the labour market. We work together with other career support providers, both internally and externally, and we have a large network.

WUR has excellent students in the Life Sciences domain. Graduates of WUR distinguish themselves through their knowledge combined with a practical approach, good language skills and organisational talent.

Student Career Services Team

Astrid van Noordenburg, Manager: Coordinator, contact person for employers and other internal and external stakeholders. Helps students in searching for a job or internship. Trainer in workshops and lecturer of course Career Exploration. Background: MSc degree Social Sciences, worked 9 years as Policy advisor Internationalisation at WUR. Experienced HR advisor, with recruitment in portfolio for 15 years, for several companies, commercial and NGO, including Wageningen University & Research (Animal Sciences Group).

Elizabeth Oenema, Career Coach: Trained Career Coach who provides guidance to students during and after their study. Background: Solid experience in working with (international) students, young graduates and professionals in the corporate industry and at university; e.g. Trainee coordinator at AkzoNobel, Career Consultant at the Business School of Tilburg University. Experienced HR advisor with recruitment in portfolio.

Hanneke van Keulen, Career Officer: Facilitates students along their journey to the labor market by giving career oriented trainings and providing personal career support. Next to that responsible for promoting Student Career Services among students and WUR colleagues. Background: MSc degree in Communication, Coaching & Human Resources, with a focus on Talent Development. Experienced in working in HR roles in both a corporate multinational as an international NGO.
