About the Master
The Master Environmental Sciences invites you to develop innovative, sustainable solutions to environmental threats. The programme allows you to specialise through a choice of ten different majors in order to work on a better environment from a natural sciences, technological or social sciences perspective. Many combinations belong to the possibilities within this study programme. For instance, offer solutions to pollution through the use of smart technologies, or apply economic instruments to influence the behaviour of people.

Differences between the Master Environmental Sciences and similar study programmes at Wageningen University
The Master Urban Environmental Management also focuses on a diverse approach to environmental threats. But this master study programme specifically focuses on urban environments whereas Environmental Sciences also studies natural and agrarian environments as well as the earth as a whole.
The Master Leisure, Tourism and Environment focuses on sustainable, environmental-friendly solutions specifically in the domain of tourism and leisure time. Special attention is placed on people from different cultures.
The Master Earth and Environment also focuses on the environment but at global level consisting mainly of natural sciences disciplines like meteorology, soil sciences, hydrology and geology. The Masters International Land and Water Management and Forest and Nature Conservation focus on the sustainable use of natural resources and the management and conservation of nature, land and water. These studies focus less on the beta perspective compared with the many majors offered by the Master Environmental Sciences.
