About VLAG

VLAG Graduate School is one of six Graduate Schools at Wageningen University that host the Wageningen University PhD programme. As such, VLAG provides a framework for doctoral education and research training. It supports the development of independent scientists able to perform excellent science for impact.

VLAG Strategy

We provide an extensive portfolio of post-graduate level scientific courses. Together with the other five Graduate Schools, we organize a comprehensive package of training activities to enhance professional skills and competences of PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and their supervisors.

Moreover, to support our academic community, spark crosspollination of knowledge and expertise, and catalyse new collaboration, we have the following instruments at hand:

  • VLAG Open Rounds to fund PhD and postdoctoral research projects to explore new research leads.
  • VLAG Research Fellowships programme to promote the quality of scientific research and strengthen international collaborations.
  • WGS Talent programmes, including Sandwich PhD Programme and Postdoc Programme.
