Education of Marine Animal Ecology

The Marine Animal Ecology Group provides education and training at the BSc, MSc and PhD level. It is possible to perform a thesis, internship or Short Research Project at our group.

Marine Animal Ecology contributes to education in the Bachelor programs BSc Marine Sciences, BSc Biology, and BSc Animal Sciences, and in the Master Programs MSc Aquaculture and Marine Resource Management, MSc Biology, MSc Animal Sciences, and MSc Environmental Sciences. At PhD level, candidates can follow the Master level courses, and can also join the Scientific Diving courses (theoretical and practical in-water training).

Thesis, internship and Short Research Project

We are always looking for motivated students for BSc and MSc theses, internships and short research projects. Are you a BSc or MSc student invested in the underwater world looking for a project? You can explore our research lines on our chair group website and on the WUR Career Platform JobTeaser. Here, we post available projects. Note that you do need an account to check the projects.

Please also fill out this form if you're interested in doing a project at MAE to get placed on the list of interested students. This allows us to have all your relevant information neatly in one place. Additionally, if we have available topics we go through that list to advertise it to you individually in addition to JobTeaser.

Do you have questions or are you not sure what topic you want to work on? Contact education coordinator Diede Maas through mae.education@wur.nl.
